A Preowned Tangerine Audio Revolver Machined Stainless Steel Platter.
This is a pre owned B stock grade revolver. The only flaw being cosmetic machine vibration discolouration on the top face (hidden by the mat) which have no impact on sound quality.
Will be shipped in original packaging.
"Machined from a single billet of high grade austenitic (non magnetic) stainless steel. Revolver weighs 2.530 kg +/- 45 gm. Linn platters vary a bit but mine is 2.542. In the vast majority of cases Revolver is a straight forward swap over upgrade.
The inner diameter remains the same ensuring compatibility with both Radikal and Lingo 4 sensor pick ups.
The primary benefit is even weight distribution which allows the stylus to track the groove at optimum level. Unlike a cast platter there is no porosity (gaps or air pockets, think honeycomb bar). Porosity has a detrimental effect causing the platter to be unbalanced.
Revolver is not subject to these compromises.
The manufacturing process will ensure each unit is within a very fine tolerance of 0.10mm and beautifully finished in natural silver. " (Tangerine Audio).
